Lifewater in Western Tanzania

The Gift of Life in Mbeya, Tanzania

Over the last few years, one of our supporters, with the help of some of her friends, sponsored the distribution of Lifewater kits in the area around Mbeya in south western Tanzania. The logistics of getting the kits to Mbeya were quite challenging, as it is a 14 hour bus journey from the capital Dar-es-Salaam! (We’re now able to use a commercial carrier service, saving one of our team making the very demanding 2 day journey to collect the kits from the place of import.)

Since then, the same supporter has also sponsored a number of batches of replacement filters which have kept the kits running – some of them for nearly 8 years now!

Here are some happy recipients in 2015 carrying away their kits in an extremely deprived village (no water, electricity or services of any sort) some 2 hours away from the city of Mbeya:

Our representative there, Pastor Arthur, recently distributed another batch of Lifewater systems and replacement filters and reports:

“There has been many thanks from the community, pastors, families and the local government people for the clean water kits. The clean water kits has also made some people about four to come to Church and three have given their lives to Jesus one is coming but not yet committed, we hope and pray that the Lord will save her in His time.”

We are so grateful to our supporters for making these projects possible. You may not be able to sponsor a whole village, but gifts of any amount will enable us to provide these literally life-saving clean water systems to someone in Africa (£45 secures a whole kit delivered to the point of use [only £36 if you can Gift Aid it]). Please use the ‘Donate’ button at the top on the right of this page if you would like to help in any way!
